Kakatiya Vidya Trust
Kakatiya Vidya Trust is a charitable trust that was founded in 2022 with the mission of transforming the lives of poor Girls who are deprived of education due to lack of financial assistance and who are not benefitted under government schemes. As part of the mission, poor children missing out on school due to poverty are identified, provided hostels with free lodge and board and introduced to a unique and very effective learning methodology which involves self-learning, senior peer teaching, healthy cooperation and competition in addition to schooling in nearby Government Zilla Parishad school.
Children come out of such 6th- 10th class mentored experience with capacities far beyond normal, home bred children. It is envisioned that these children will bring about the much needed cohesion, camaraderie and cultural progressivism in the community in the years to come.
Philanthropists are coming forward in various ways to support this effort – donating time, energy, care, security to the children, money, their ancestral homes in villages etc.
We work tirelessly to create a brighter future for this creative and vibrant children, supporting initiatives that uplift and empower. Greetings to all! I am Dedeepya, an undergraduate Design student at Woxsen University, Hyderabad. I am pleased to share that I have successfully completed my 3-week Social Internship at Kakatiya Vidya Trust.
This Non-Governmental Organisation advocates in Education for underprivileged children. The mission of this charitable trust is to provide food and lodging services, as well as access to books and digital learning resources for those students from grade 5 to grade 10, who are deprived of education due to the lack of financial assistance and who are not benefitted under government schemes. Over a period of 20 days I learnt how difficult life can be for certain sections of society. Parents who struggled to make ends meet could not pay attention or prioritize the education and holistic development of their children. Kakatiya Vidya Trust provides these children with nutritious meals, proper infrastructure for education and living. I’m grateful to have gotten the opportunity to spend time at two of their branches, empathizing with the students, staff and other authorities and observing the working of the organization. I also had the opportunity to help with administrative work and take
lessons for the students there. It was a valuable experience and I understood the importance of comprehending various spectrums of society in order to use Design to solve pressing social issues.
I’d like to show my gratitude to my Father, Chalapathi Nalluri for giving me this opportunity and inspiring me through the services he has been doing for the people in need. I’m also very grateful to Kakatiya Vidya Trust for their attempt to give back to society and giving me this opportunity.
