Family Environment

Children who are deprived of education due to lack of financial assistance and who are not benefitted under government schemes are admitted to these hostels and are treated like our own children by the warden, the cook, the care takers, the donors and even the guests. Nowhere do we allow them to feel they are dependent, subservient or inadequate. No leftover food is allowed to be supplied to them. No used clothes are allowed to be gifted. However, when donors wish to donate specifically for providing breakfast or a meal to the children in their name based on some occasion in the donor’s own family such as a birthday or some anniversary, they can make the donation in cash/cheque and their name will be displayed on the notice board for the day. Similarly, donors can contribute cash or new clothes for all the children.

They are taught to live with self-respect, gain self-confidence and taught to live in harmony with their peers, behave respectfully towards the warden, the cook, the care takers and guests. It has been our experience that the children gain commendable social skills during their stay in the hostel. Their parents visit them whenever they want and the children go home to their parents during important festivals. There has not been any instance of any child feeling homesick.

You are all welcome to visit the hostels and interact with the children.
